Update: New Page Design at Daxion Games™

A new page design is being implemented throughout the Daxion Games™ web site. The Half-Life section is being redone entirely and is expanding with new pages. An all new section with Crysis is coming soon as well as a total makover is planned for the SiN Episodes section.

Hopefully, you'll find that the new design provides a better user value as we think the navigation has improved and the content has been reviewed.

Continuing the ongoing redesign of my pages, Daxion Games™ has been updated as follows:

Half Life 2: Episode 2: Releases October 9, 2007

Release date confirmed by Valve of the second part in the trilogy sequel to Half-Life 2. Episode One released last year in June and Episode Two is now being released October 9, 2007 as part of "The Orange Box".

According to sources at VALVe the expected release of Half Life2: Episode 2 is now postponed a second time. No release date is yet set by VALVe, but the release of Ep2 is now expected Summer 2007. Originally the release was planned for Holidays 2006 and was then pushed to Q1 and now to summer 2007.

For immediate release:

Valve has released three Gameplay Movies today. The videos show some of the new locations from Half Life 2: Episode 2. We are also entertained with some of the open style combat, to be more present from Episode Two. Valve also states that the videos demonstrate better shadowing effects and a new particle system - due to the updated Source Engine.

The videos are best viewed from your steam account, go to the 'My Media' tab in your steam-client. If you don't have a steam account, watch here.

For immediate release:

Valve has today distributed a third video teaser of Half Life 2: Episode 2.

The new video is finally revealing more from inside the upcoming Episode 2. And Ohh soo sweet it is... We see some of G-man and Alyx, as she obviously is hurt. Dog attacks striders and what not... I will make some updates to the information about the Episode 2 storyline, as this now is possible. I'll be back about that, meanwhile: Go and see the video here.

Valve confirms a delay of Ep2 in an interview in Eurogamer. Any release date is not mentioned closer than Q1. Daxion Games™ sets the date to February 28, 2007 awaiting further notice. Follow the development of the coming releases of Half Life 2 sequel trilogy at Daxion Games™.

Half Life 2: Episode Two is the second part in the trilogy sequel that continues where the finale of Half Life 2 ends. Release of Half Life 2: Episode 2 (Ep2) is presently set to Holyday 2006.

Various sources around the net have enabled me to conclude and summarize what's known about the content and storyline so far from Half Life 2: Episode Two.

Valve: Half Life 2 - Episode 2 for Holidays, Episode 3 in second half of 2007

Kristen Salvatore, Executive Editor at gamers magazine PCgamer states on pcgamer.com that the release of Half-Life 2: Episode Two will be out by Holidays 2006 as previously announced, this according to a statement from Valve.

In the forums there has been a confusion around a possible delay from Valve with the release of Ep2. This is not the case, the release is still on track. Episode Three is currently planned for release in the second half of 2007.
